Overarching goal remains to make Earthlings a multiplanetary species. Musk must settle 1m folks in self-sustaining Mars city to get fat bonus of 1B shares. Build factories to produce materials and construction equipment, bla bla. Mine comets and meteors for 'rare' space minerals.
But this is presently derailed by other lofty objectives:
•launch 1m satellites to offer unlimited global internet 3.0 (including satellite telcoms - which is threatening big telcos and is being contested by AT&T, Verizon, Globalstar) and host orbital data centers (this is being contested at the FCC by Blue Origin as orbital hoarding, especially the vast spectrums needed)
•produce 100TW per year (presumably beamable to earth not just for the orbital data centers or factories)
•Artemis 3 & 4: build human landing system (HLS) for NASA's moon mission by 2028 (SpaceX already has a $2.9B contract for this, and $1.15B for Starship lander)
•new $1.25B per month deal to provide Anthropic with Colossus 1 & 2 compute June 2026 through May 2029
It basically seems SpaceX core R&D to #OccupyMars continues with Starship. While Falcon, Starlink and xAI bring the revenues.
The SpaceX IPO filing is filled with AI bets, Starship dreams, and Elon Musk at the centerSean O'Kane

That it has “identified the largest actionable total addressable market in human history” of $28.5 trillion. The company attributes an enormous portion of that — $22.7 trillion — to “enterprise applications” of AI.
Total control
Make no mistake, this is Elon Musk’s company. Per the filing, Musk will be the CEO, CTO, and chairman of the SpaceX board after the IPO.
The S-1 shows he owns 93.6% of SpaceX’s Class B stock, which comes with 10 votes per share. Musk is therefore currently sitting on 85.1% of the voting power at SpaceX. That number is expected to drop following the IPO but will stay above 50%, allowing SpaceX to dodge certain rules about having independent directors on its board.
