President Ruto has fully unleashed a beast of precision Engineers in developing Kenya at astonishing speeds. Kibaki Launched Kipchoge stadium and for 10 years, he did about 5%, Uhuru came and He did another 8%. Ruto took over in 2022 and has now done 70% There is about 17% left to be complete. Same applies to other over 25 stadia across Kenya.
Giving Kenya Army authority to manage and deliver key infrastructure has cut corruption to near zero. PS Ommollo on interview said Kibaki and Uhuru in their budgets allocated a lot of money for kipchoge Keino stadium for 20 years, but the stadium NEVER moved. It is the allocations from 2023-2026 that has delivered the stadium. The two Hyenas used stadia as cash cows to loot the public!

Kenya has not exhausted sports industry, in fact Kenya is utilizing 5% of sporting capability. Ruto has plans to crank Kenya to 50% of sporting capability. Here in the US, sports is a whole industry. Elementary to universities have massive stadiums where talents and different sporting activities are identified and nurtured early into colossal economic activity from ground level to national. Kenya should be having village, town, constituency, city, county, and national level, boxing, Judo, soccer, running, basket ball, and all types of competitions to keep young people fit, active, and economically sufficient. A country like Kenya should have at least 1200 stadia, not 50 at minimum! Britain has about 2500 stadia, and venues of sporting activity yet smaller than Kenya!

In the USA, there are over 23000 high schools, all with mini stadia this size. Every Friday, is a football night dubbed Friday night lights where local schools compete. same with Middle school, and elementary schools, thousands of more mini stadia. Colleges and universities now have large stadia, all in Thousands. I think USA has over 50,000 sporting stadia, mini stadia, and sporting grounds!

There is potential in sports but priority matters. If I were president I would start with things like education, healthcare, cancers centers, dialysis, food security, water security etc while sports and stadiums have a place and economic potential, a person in Turkana or in the middle of Muranga will not feel or even remember it as a legacy project. In short, Ruto’s claim to fame are big shiny things that have no bearing whatsoever to the common mwananchi. The affordable bullshit could have saved some slum people but I hear that they are being allocated to the right people sometimes multiple apartments to rent out. I had a story from Mombasa affordable high rise slums where toilets do not work and people go for days without electricity to cook, the idea of a high rise without electricity and overflowing toilets is stuff of nightmares.
