France 24,
Al Jazeera and
Reuters are all reporting one fatality and two others fighting for dear life after shooting incidents. We can post their news clips here.
One man has been shot dead in Kenya following anti-government protests on Friday over a new finance law that has doubled the fuel tax and introduced a housing levy for employees.
“One person died of gunshot wounds while two are still admitted,” The fatality was a man.
National police spokeswoman Resila Onyango did not respond immediately to requests from the Reuters news agency for comments.
The High Court suspended the implementation of the finance law last week but the government raised retail prices of petrol anyway, forcing the opposition senator who lodged the case to seek the jailing of the head of the energy sector regulator for contempt.
