Israel has a very powerful military, and especially its air force. It does not compare to the US, but they are more than capable of doing the damage we've seen and continue to see thus far. I agree they are a US lackey, that sometimes operates as if it's the reverse.
The reason I don't believe the US is involved directly(other than shooting down missiles) is because they would have used a different approach. Like strategic bombers and heavier munitions like bunker busters. That's why it would be foolish for Iranians to invite them to the table by striking a US base.

GENEVA (Reuters) - Iran recalled its ambassador to Kenya because of a court decision upholding sentences for two Iranians in jail, foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said Sunday, according to the Iranian Students' News Agency.
Iran also lodged a formal complaint with the Kenyan ambassador in Tehran on Saturday because of the Kenyan court decision in the case of Ahmad Abolfathi and Seyed Mansour Mousavi.
In 2016, a Kenyan judge reduced the life sentences given to the two Iranians convicted of planning bomb attacks to 15 years. The case raised concerns about possible Iranian plans to strike targets in the east African nation.
The two were arrested in June 2012 and convicted a year later of planning attacks and possessing 15 kg of military-grade RDX explosives.
The men may have had links to the Quds Force, the elite extra-territorial special forces arm of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Kenyan investigators have said.
The men were scheduled to be freed before the Kenyan court upheld their sentences on Friday, Qassemi said.

Iran’s navy claims to have prevented US ships entering the Strait of Hormuz, state media reports.
A refusal by Saudi Arabia to allow the US to use its bases and airspace to provide a military escort for oil tankers passing through the strait of Hormuz lay behind Donald Trump’s decision to shelve the plan days after it had been launched.
Riyadh told the White House it would not allow its Prince Sultan airbase to be used to mount the operation billed as Project Freedom, which the US presented as the successor to the bombing campaign called Operation Epic Fury.

Hezbollah’s drone capabilities are limiting 80 percent of Israeli assaults on southern Lebanon, according to a report by Israel’s public broadcaster Kan.
On Monday, Kan reported that the Israeli military had estimated that drones fired by Hezbollah had severely restricted Israeli troop movements in Lebanon, and contributed to battlefield losses.
The report stated that anti-drone systems were being distributed to only a limited number of Israeli troops due to supply shortages, and that some military operations were not being carried out in daylight hours over fears of drone attacks.

They are being helped by China and Russia - that's why US is targeting the land bridges in Eastern border to Afghanstan where Chinese cargo checks in.
